The Insulation Installer works as part of a small crew on residential construction, commercial construction, and retrofit and remodeling projects. This role primarily installs cellulose insulation and supports related air sealing, vapor barrier, equipment operation, quality control, documentation, and site cleanup activities, with regional travel required.
Responsibilities
- Install cellulose insulation on residential, commercial, retrofit, and remodeling projects.
- Install vapor barriers and complete air-sealing tasks.
- Operate insulation and related job-site equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work for quality, coverage, and proper installation.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area.
- Complete required work documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with a small field crew and travel regionally to project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of insulation installation techniques and building materials handling.
- Experience with air sealing and vapor barrier installation.
- Understanding of construction safety practices.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina.
