About the Role: Kenney Landscaping & Commercial Snow is looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our snow removal team in Rochester, MI! If you love working outdoors, operating powerful machinery, and keeping communities safe during the winter months, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and plows for commercial snow removal operations
- Clear snow and ice from parking lots, roadways, and commercial properties in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all assigned equipment and vehicles
- Apply ice melt, salt, and other de-icing materials as needed
- Respond to on-call snow events, including nights, weekends, and early morning shifts
- Communicate with crew leads and dispatch regarding job status and site conditions
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly
Requirements:- Valid driver's license required
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment (loaders, skid steers, plow trucks, etc.)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and on-call snow events
- Strong attention to safety and site conditions in winter weather environments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
- Commercial snow removal experience is a plus
