Position Overview:
Grand View Lodge is looking for a skilled, dependable Resort Maintenance Worker to keep our property safe, functional, and operating at the highest standard. You'll perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks across our resort's outlets and facilities, working closely with resort departments, vendors, contractors, and business partners to address needs quickly and professionally. Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform basic repair and light maintenance across a range of trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pool systems, lighting, appliances, fire suppression systems, flooring, painting, and furniture.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections on a regular schedule to stay ahead of issues before they impact guests or operations.
- Repair and maintain commercial laundry equipment across the property.
- Generate accurate written work orders and maintain detailed time sheets and records of all maintenance activities.
- Maintain the shop, vehicles, and equipment in clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Follow all recommended safety precautions for every tool, machine, and chemical used on property; read and follow chemical labels at all times.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all resort departments clear, proactive communication keeps everyone moving.
- Assist with department functions and additional duties as assigned; in a resort environment, flexibility is part of the job.
- This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons is required.
Job Requirements:
- Previous general repair or handyman experience with the ability to use all standard repair tools; required.
- Hands-on knowledge across multiple maintenance trades; comfort troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of systems and equipment.
- PLC schematics, electrical schematics, and multimeter experience is preferred and a strong differentiator.
- High level of cleanliness and attention to detail; you leave every work area better than you found it.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-moving property environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel experience preferred for work order tracking and reporting.
- Ability to read chemical labels and write clear, complete reports and assessments.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for 6–7 hours, climb stairs, reach, bend, and occasionally lift over 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required; one year of equivalent experience accepted in lieu.
- A valid driver's license with a clean record; use of company vehicles may be required.
