Job Summary:
Motivated and detail-oriented technology professional with foundational experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) development and support. Exposure to modern ERP platforms or similar enterprise applications is considered an advantage. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong willingness to learn, a positive attitude, adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication skills while supporting business-critical ERP initiatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist senior developers and business stakeholders in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving JDE application issues.
- Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of JD Edwards enhancements, reports, and customizations.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and assist with feasibility assessments for system improvements.
- Contribute to development activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with functional and technical team members to deliver assigned tasks on time and within project expectations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and development specifications.
- Provide production support and help investigate application issues across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Distribution modules.
- Assist in maintaining system integrity through testing, troubleshooting, and validating solutions.
- Learn and apply JDE development standards, best practices, and emerging ERP technologies.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement within the IT team.
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:
- Strong Knowledge of JDE Development Toolsets (9.0) in the areas of Object Management Workbench (OMW), Object Librarian (OL), Data Dictionary (DD), Table Browser, Debugging Tools, Forms, UBE (reports), Named Event Rule (NER), and Business Functions and Processing Options
- In addition to the standard Development Toolsets, experience with JDE Workflow and C programming experience and SQL procedures is a plus
- BI Publisher hands on is a must
- Exposure to Bottomline Transform is considered an added advantage
- Preferred knowledge of JDE Security, Job Scheduler, and JDE System Administration, with a basic understanding of CNC processes and administration.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills and can work with all levels of the company
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of JDE experience is required
Physical Working Environment:
This role is based in a climate-controlled office environment and involves prolonged periods of sitting. The position requires onsite presence five days per week (5 days in office). Occasional travel to Drew Marine’s international regional offices may be required, as dictated by project requirements.
