Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify product defects.
Ability to read and interpret operator instructions, inspection check sheets, and quality alerts.
Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
English proficiency.

Six months of manufacturing or production experience.
Previous experience working with automated assembly equipment.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Production Operator to join a manufacturing client. This individual will be responsible for loading component parts into automated assembly equipment while maintaining established quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

The Production Operator will use PLEX to manage inventory, record production, create labels, and document issues involving parts or machinery. This person will also inspect finished products, report quality concerns, package materials according to instructions, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Load component parts into automated assembly equipment.
Use PLEX to load inventory into the production cell, record production, create labels, and document issues.
Package finished products according to established instructions.
Monitor machinery and escalate equipment downtime or performance issues to Team Leaders or Supervisors.
Inspect parts and finished products for defects or quality concerns.
Ensure products meet established check sheets, work instructions, and quality standards.
Document inspection results and product nonconformances.
Escalate poor-quality parts to the appropriate Team Leader or Supervisor.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Support internal and external audits as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and product quality.
Cross-train across multiple work centers as required.
Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$17/hr to $18/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
