Job Description

OCM Practitioner - Houston, TX

iSphere is looking for an Organizational Change Management Practitioner for a 12+ month onsite opportunity in Houston.

This is a hands-on OCM role for someone who likes actually doing the work. The client already has leadership setting direction. They need someone who can take that direction, turn it into a practical plan, build the materials, coordinate the people, keep the details moving, and make sure employees are actually ready when the change goes live.

You will work with project teams, business stakeholders, technical SMEs, and impacted users across technology and business change initiatives. One day you may be running an impact discussion, the next you may be drafting communications, updating a readiness tracker, coordinating training, or chasing down the last approval standing between the project and go-live.

This is not a high-level advisory role where you spend your time explaining what change management should look like. The client wants someone who is comfortable getting into the weeds and making it happen.

What we need:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting organizational change management, communications, training, implementation, project coordination, or a related area

  • Experience creating and executing communications, training, readiness, and stakeholder engagement activities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with technical SMEs, business stakeholders, project teams, and end users

  • Ability to turn strategic direction into detailed tasks, deliverables, and follow-up

  • Strong facilitation, active listening, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep work moving in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

You will help build change plans, stakeholder lists, audience maps, impact assessments, readiness information, communications, FAQs, presentations, talking points, job aids, quick-reference guides, and training materials. You will also support workshops, focus groups, train-the-trainer activities, go-live readiness, adoption measurement, and post-implementation follow-up.

Experience with IT implementations, system migrations, process transformations, or other technology-driven change will definitely get our attention.

ADO/Azure DevOps experience is a plus, as is experience supporting multiple projects at the same time.

The person who does well here will be the one who hears, “We need users ready for this change,” and immediately starts figuring out who is impacted, what they need to know, how they need to hear it, what could get in the way, and what needs to happen next.

If you like turning OCM strategy into actual work that people can see, use, and respond to, we should talk.
