FF&E Design & Project Manager

Senior By Design is seeking an FF&E Design & Project Manager to lead senior living remodels, multifamily renovations, capital improvement projects, and a varied portfolio of commercial interiors work from initial client conversation through installation and closeout. Based in Boulder, Colorado, this office-based role partners closely with the principal or owner, design director, operations leader, and cross-functional project team. The position offers a path toward senior design leadership and department management, with frequent regional or nationwide travel based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead FF&E and remodel projects through site assessment, scope development, design, approvals, procurement, installation, and closeout.
• Select and specify furniture, fabrics, artwork, lighting, accessories, and interior finishes.
• Develop furniture plans, specifications, quantities, quotes, proposals, and supporting project documentation.
• Create and present client design boards and selections using Canva.
• Communicate with clients, document decisions, manage approvals, and provide timely updates and solutions.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, margins, assignments, and next steps across multiple active projects.
• Lead supporting team members by setting priorities, assigning work, and reviewing deliverables.
• Coordinate with FF&E, purchasing, warehouse, and installation teams regarding inventory, availability, lead times, and delivery requirements.
• Conduct site assessments and oversee installations, final placement, staging, punch lists, and project follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial interior design and FF&E project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field.
• Experience with FF&E specification, commercial interior design, and furniture planning.
• Proficiency in Canva.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience managing project budgets and communicating with clients.
• Experience with senior living, multifamily, hospitality, or other commercial interiors projects.

We are seeking a hands-on design leader to manage remodels, capital improvement projects, model environments, and individual furniture requests from the first client conversation through installation and final follow-up.

This role is for someone who can make thoughtful furniture and fabric selections quickly, lead a team, keep many projects moving at once, and give clients clear, timely answers. Projects range from a single-room refresh to substantial building remodels. You will personally produce design work while directing and reviewing the work of others.
