The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day coordination of shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across the supply chain. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving Operations
• Set up, pull, and stage all outbound shipments in alignment with daily shipping schedules.
• Receive, check, and verify all incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and proper documentation.
• Ensure product is properly secured and safe for transport, including banding, strapping, and pallet configuration.
• Perform piece/weight conversions and relabel products to meet internal and customer specifications.
Inventory Control & Documentation
• Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies; assist in root cause analysis and resolution.
• Perform and document routine cycle counts, making inventory adjustments as needed.
• Organize and maintain warehouse space, including partial rack areas.
Team Leadership & Support
• Provide daily direction to Jeep Drivers, ensuring accurate staging and scanning of product for outbound shipments.
• Train, monitor, and support Jeep Drivers in executing tasks safely and efficiently.
• Provide back-up support to the Logistics Manager and cover team absences as necessary.
Customer Focus & Compliance
• Ensure accuracy of customer shipments; verify contents against packing lists and customer specifications.
• Print and prepare customer-specific labels and documentation (CofC, Certifications, etc.) as required.
• Photograph shipments and maintain visual records for traceability and quality assurance.
Additional Duties
• Plan and stage future shipments proactively to ensure smooth operations.
• Package small customer or engineering sample orders as needed.
• Ensure trucks are loaded accurately and safely, verifying product placement and securing methods.
• File, distribute, and archive all shipping documentation appropriately.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of logistics, shipping/receiving, or dispatch experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills preferred.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math proficiency required; must be able to perform unit conversions and counts accurately.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
