Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Assignment Type: Contract | 4–6 Months

Pay: $23 – $26 / Hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Hybrid

About The Company: Our client is a mission-focused nonprofit trade association located in the Washington, DC area. The organization offers a collaborative work environment and is seeking an HR professional to provide hands-on support across a variety of human resources functions.

Job Description: The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with the daily operations of the HR department, supporting employees, managers, and recruiting activities. This role is well suited for an organized HR professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to employee and external inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and general personnel matters
  • Assist with recruiting initiatives, including candidate outreach and sourcing through various channels
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel documentation while following applicable requirements
  • Coordinate with managers throughout performance management and employee development processes
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR team as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years of professional experience supporting human resources functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Familiarity with Workday and ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to independently organize workload, meet deadlines, and balance multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Additional Details: This is a 4–6 month contract opportunity with potential for extension based on organizational needs. Candidates should be located in the Washington, DC area and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
