Production Assembler

1st Shift | MondayFriday | 6:00 AM2:30 PM

Looking for a hands-on production opportunity where you can build your skills and grow? We are hiring Production Assemblers to build and test high-quality electrical and mechanical products in a clean, structured manufacturing environment.

In this role, youll work with small components, hand tools, PCBs, microscopes, soldering equipment, and electronic testing equipment. Youll receive cross-training in multiple areas, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills in mechanical assembly, electronics, soldering, testing, inspection, and finishing.

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components into finished products.
• Work with small parts using screwdrivers, torque wrenches, hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Perform wiring and hand soldering of components as required.
• Assemble and work with printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other small electronic components.
• Use microscopes for detailed assembly and inspection work.
• Read and follow blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and detailed procedures.
• Perform electronic testing and quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Use computer workstations to enter production information and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work with adhesives, epoxies, and chemicals while following proper safety procedures.
• Cross-train in mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing departments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production and quality goals.
• Lift and move materials or assemblies weighing up to 40 lbs.

• 1+ year of production, manufacturing, or assembly experience
• Experience using small hand tools and torque wrenches
• Previous wiring and/or hand soldering experience
• Ability to work with small parts and detailed assemblies
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and schematics
• Experience with PCBs or electronic assemblies preferred
• Experience performing quality inspections or product testing
• Comfortable using microscopes for detailed work
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent

• J-STD certification is highly preferred
• Electronic assembly experience
• Electronic or product testing experience
• Experience working with adhesives, epoxies, or chemicals
• Previous experience with gas/flame detection products or similar electronic devices

Youll work in a large, structured production environment supporting gas and flame detection sensor products. The facility includes multiple assembly and testing departments, with employees cross-trained and placed in areas that best match their skills.

Youll regularly work with hand tools, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, microscopes, electronic testing equipment, and computers. Some areas use epoxies and other chemicals and may have a noticeable odor, so all required safety and handling procedures must be followed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
