Housekeeper Job Description

Opportunity:

The DeBary Inn in Summit, NJ is looking to hire a housekeeper! Previous experience is preferred but not required; we can train you.

What We Are Looking For:

The Housekeeper position is responsible for cleanliness in assigned guest rooms and common areas are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Cleans and sanitizes all designated areas to Hotel Housekeeping standards

· Changes linens on beds and makes beds following the hotel protocol

· Empties wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal

· Replenishes supplies such linens and bathroom soaps

· Laundry duties for all changed linens

· Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers in room

· Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor.

· Communicates all pertinent information to the management team

· Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records

· Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time

· Performs other related duties as assigned

· Prior housekeeping/custodial experience preferred

· Prior hospitality experience preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit

· Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation:

· Base Salary and Tips from the Room attended.

We are a boutique hotel in the affluent town of center/North NJ. Need to have valid work status in US. Computer skills are must,
