Job Title: Supply Chain Associate (Procurement/Inventory Management)

Location: New Albany, OH
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week, based on business needs)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to support procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier coordination activities. This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, expediting material deliveries, and ensuring the timely availability of components, packaging materials, and services required to support business operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or inventory management environments and possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for materials and services.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Expedite critical orders and resolve supply-related issues.
  • Support procurement activities for raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage vendor-managed inventory programs and supply agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving, invoicing, and order discrepancies.
  • Coordinate returns, replacements, and supplier corrective actions when needed.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted material availability.
  • Consolidate shipments and coordinate transportation activities to maximize cost savings.
  • Track inventory performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records.
  • Support audit readiness and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports on procurement and inventory performance.
  • Analyze data and communicate supply chain metrics to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in cost-saving initiatives and special projects.
  • Resolve issues proactively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or related functions.
  • Experience creating and managing purchase orders.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with ERP, MRP, or purchasing systems is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer goods, or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and supplier management processes.
  • Familiarity with supply chain performance metrics and reporting.
  • Experience supporting cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives.
