Driver

This role involves safely operating a 26-foot box truck to transport materials between two facilities while supporting warehouse operations through loading, unloading, and inventory handling. You work primarily on a first-shift schedule, using barcode scanners to ensure accurate documentation and maintaining detailed records of all deliveries and vehicle usage.

• Drive a 26-foot box truck safely and efficiently between the two facilities located in Belle Vernon and Charleroi.
• Load and unload materials from the truck, ensuring safe handling and proper placement of all items.
• Operate forklifts, including propane and stand-up models, to move, stage, and organize materials within the facility.
• Use barcode scanners to accurately document shipments, deliveries, and inventory movement.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant vehicle and trip information.
• Verify delivery contents against shipping documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support inventory control by assisting with loading, unloading, and tracking of materials in and out of the facility.
• Perform basic inspections of the truck and equipment before and after use to ensure safe operating condition, and report any issues promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while driving, loading, unloading, and operating equipment.
• Coordinate with warehouse and facility staff to ensure timely deliveries between locations and efficient workflow.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience driving 26-foot box trucks.
• Ability to operate forklifts, including propane and stand-up forklifts.
• Ability to use barcode scanners for accurate documentation of deliveries and inventory.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and related documentation.
• Capability to safely load and unload materials, including proper use of equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe operation of vehicles and equipment.

• Experience driving flatbed trucks.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with inventory processes, including loading, unloading, and tracking materials.
• Comfort working across multiple facilities and coordinating logistics between locations.

You work in a large manufacturing facility that is clean, well-lit, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional setting. The role involves driving between facilities in Belle Vernon and Charleroi and working both in the truck and on the warehouse floor. The operation runs multiple shifts, with a daylight shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a shift differential offered for second shift. You regularly use equipment such as 26-foot box trucks, flatbed trucks, propane forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and barcode scanners while adhering to safety standards in a modern industrial environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Charleroi, PA.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $47840.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
