JobObjective The Project Scheduleris responsible fordeveloping,maintaining, and communicating project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. This role sets project milestones and deadlines, estimates labor requirements, monitors material deliveries, and coordinates timelines across departments. The Project Scheduler proactivelyidentifiesschedule risks and works with project stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop andmaintaindetailed project schedules, including milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Establish short-term and long-term project goals in alignment with overall project plans.
- Estimate labor requirements based on project timelines and resource availability.
- Coordinate project schedules with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress to ensuretheteamsare meetingestablished timelines.
- Track shipment arrivals and delivery schedules to ensure alignment with project plans.
- Identifypotential schedule delays andfacilitatetimelycorrective actions.
- Revise and update project schedules as needed, including preparation for monthly customer progress reports.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and technical experts to define tasks, subtasks, and sequencing.
- Develop, implement, andmaintainan effective scheduling management system
- Prepare, analyze, andmaintainproject critical path schedules.
- Evaluatescheduleperformance and prepare project statusand progress reports.
- Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
- Communicate project timelines, changes, and risks clearly to allstakeholders.
- Document scheduling processes andmaintainaccurateproject records.
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree inProject Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5yearsof experience in project scheduling, project coordination, or production planning
- Proficiencywithproject scheduling software(e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge ofCritical Path Method (CPM)scheduling
- AdvancedproficiencyinMicrosoft Excelfor schedule tracking and analysis
- Experience coordinating schedules across multiple departments
- Ability to analyze schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience inmanufacturing, industrial,logistics, construction, or engineeringenvironments
- Familiarity withERP/MRP systems
- Experience supporting customer-facing projects and reporting requirements
- Professional certification such asPMP, PMI-SP, or APICS
