Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in metal or steel inspection. This is a hands-on role in an active warehouse environment and is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate has experience working with raw materials, certifications (MTRs), and precision measuring tools, and understands the importance of maintaining strict quality standards.
*Responsibilities*
- · Inspect incoming steel materials for quality, accuracy, and compliance
- · Open and verify contents of large incoming crates and shipments
- · Review and verify mill test reports (MTRs), heat numbers, and material certifications
- · Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- · Ensure materials meet internal and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
- · Identify and communicate quality issues with vendors and internal teams
- · Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- · Operate forklift as needed (or willingness to be trained)
- · Maintain a clean and safe work space before and after your shift
*Experience*
- · 1+ years of quality control experience in metal, steel, or manufacturing environment
- · Strong understanding of material certifications, heat numbers, and traceability
- · Experience using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring equipment
- · Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
- · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work an active warehouse setting
- · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- · Experience with basic computer skills like Microsoft Excel for documentation, record keeping and company emails
Experience:
- · Physical Inspection : 1 year (Preferred)
