Network Engineer

Description

The Network Engineer is responsible for engineering, deployment, provisioning, maintenance, and strategic evolution of SDCCUs enterprise network infrastructure. The role supports routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, VPN, datacenter, branch, and network security technologies while driving modernization efforts across the network environment.

This individual will serve as a technical leader capable of designing and implementing new network solutions, leading infrastructure projects, making architecture recommendations, and supporting a complex enterprise environment. The engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and infrastructure teams to implement scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions.

Responsibilities include network architecture and design, firewall administration, WAN/VPN deployment, vulnerability remediation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, enterprise troubleshooting, project leadership, operational documentation, and mentorship of engineering staff. The role also provides Tier III support and participates in network upgrades, maintenance activities, and strategic infrastructure initiatives.

This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $103480.00 - $139880.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
