Build and validate the instruments that keep aircraft flying true
Join a production team committed to exacting standards and dependable outcomes. You’ll assemble, troubleshoot, and verify avionics and aircraft instruments from the ground up, ensuring each unit meets rigorous quality expectations.
Core responsibilities
- Assemble complex electronic components, subassemblies, and complete systems for avionics and instruments.
- Perform de-soldering, troubleshooting, and component replacement as needed.
- Execute final testing on a wide variety of aircraft instruments and avionics using appropriate test equipment.
- Accurately complete documentation, including shop and manufacturing order records; submit all required reports.
- Interpret and follow assembly drawings, schematics, procedures, and technical manuals.
Must-haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- 1+ year of assembly experience with avionic equipment (e.g., pressure gauges, batteries, inverters).
- Proficiency with hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
- Solid grasp of advanced analog and digital electronics.
- Exceptional attention to detail; organized, focused, and results-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Nice to have
- PCB soldering proficiency (training provided if you’re developing this skill).
Work conditions and physical demands
- Repetitive tasks with sustained fine-motor work and precise hand–eye coordination.
- Occasional independent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Constant handling of small parts and assemblies.
- Routine use of small tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, and wire cutters.
