We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join a busy outpatient healthcare practice. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, processing laboratory samples, and ensuring a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of varying ages.
- Verify patient identity and review laboratory orders prior to specimen collection.
- Properly label, process, package, and transport specimens according to established procedures.
- Enter and maintain accurate patient and specimen information within electronic medical record and laboratory systems.
- Monitor specimen integrity and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain infection control practices and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and safety requirements.
- Prepare and stock phlebotomy supplies and maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care during all interactions.
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, medical assistants, and laboratory personnel to support patient care.
- Assist with front office or administrative duties as needed.
