About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a busy specialty medical practice seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler. This role will support multiple providers and requires hands-on experience with both surgical scheduling and prior authorizations.

Job Description:

The Surgery Scheduler will coordinate surgical cases from scheduling through authorization, working closely with providers, RNs, hospitals, and patients. This position requires someone who can manage a high-volume workload while ensuring authorizations and scheduling details are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate surgery scheduling for 6 providers.
• Complete and manage prior authorizations for surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with hospitals to confirm OR availability and schedule procedures.
• Communicate with providers, RNs, hospitals, and patients regarding surgery details.
• Track approximately 50 surgical cases and 50 authorizations per week.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and authorization documentation in the EMR.
• Follow up on outstanding authorizations and scheduling requirements.
• Provide professional customer service throughout the scheduling process.

Requirements:

• 1–2+ recent years of surgery scheduling experience required.
• Prior authorization experience required.
• Experience coordinating surgical cases with hospitals and OR departments.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Previous EMR experience required; ECW experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple providers and surgical cases simultaneously.

Additional Details:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• 100% onsite in Corpus Christi, TX.
