Structured Cabling Technician

We are seeking entry level to mid-level cabling technicians for Cat6 and Fiber infrastructure work. You will be working alongside other technicians in order to run, terminate, and certify cabling on various jobsites.

Responsibilities:

1. Run, fish, terminate, and certify Cat6 cabling and fiber via standard cabling guidelines and local, state, and federal codes
2. Build out data frames / racking systems in respective server room / IDF locations
3. Run, fish, terminate, and mount / install paging, wifi, IP cameras, and conference room infrastructure

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in infrastructure cabling a plus, but not a requirement
2. Ability to prioritize and take effective notes
3. Deadline and detail-oriented
4. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Growth Opportunities:

1. Expansion into telecom industry to program / install / support telecommunications / hosted IP systems

The above outline of the job is the general gist, but you could say this about most structured cabling positions. The scope of work is pretty straight forward / standard. We are a small telecom company that has been together for almost 20 years that supports small to mid-sized businesses. For some clients we are the entirety of their telecom and infrastructure needs.

There is a 90-day review period for whoever is hired. Once the 90-day review period has passed, if the relationship appears to be working well for both parties (Giobi and you) we will move forward into a full-time position.
