Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Hartford, CT
Pay: $23–$25 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to support accurate inventory management and material flow within a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining ERP inventory accuracy, performing cycle counts, managing material transactions, and ensuring inventory is properly documented and organized.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records within an ERP system.
- Perform regular cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Track, organize, and reconcile materials by part number, lot, quantity, and location.
- Consolidate and manage material lots as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain labels, BOL packets, and other inventory documentation.
- Process inventory transactions and ensure system records match physical inventory.
- Assist with material movements, replenishment, and inventory organization.
- Work closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Follow established procedures for material handling, documentation, and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory control, materials, warehouse operations, or a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with an ERP or inventory management system.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform cycle counts and research inventory discrepancies.
- Comfortable working with part numbers, quantities, lots, and inventory documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently as well as with a team.
- Manufacturing or metals industry experience is a plus.
