VIEW Optometry is looking for an outgoing, style-conscious, customer-focused Optical Stylist & Eyewear Consultant to join our Temple team.

This is much more than simply helping someone pick out a pair of glasses. You'll help patients find eyewear that complements their personal style, prescription, lifestyle, and budget while educating them about lens options and creating an exceptional buying experience.

Optical experience is a plusbut we'll train the right person.

If you have a strong retail, fashion, luxury sales, jewelry, beauty, hospitality, or customer-service background and enjoy helping people, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do:

• Help Patients Find Eyewear They Love
• You'll guide patients through the eyewear-selection process from beginning to end.

Responsibilities include:

• Help patients select fashion, designer, and luxury eyewear
• Recommend frames based on face shape, personal style, prescription, lifestyle, and budget
• Educate patients about lens options, materials, coatings, and upgrades
• Assist patients in selecting appropriate lenses
• Explain the benefits of different optical products
• Educate patients about proper eyewear and contact-lens care
• Provide information about vision plans and insurance benefits
• Complete patient transactions accurately
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Coordinate with doctors and other team members regarding patient care
• Maintain attractive, organized frame displays
• Keep the optical area clean, organized, and welcoming
• Assist wherever needed to create an outstanding patient experience

We want someone who understands how to sell through education, trust, product knowledge, and great service.

You'll help patients understand their options and confidently choose products that meet their needs.

We're especially interested in candidates with experience in:

• Optical sales
• Fashion or luxury retail
• Jewelry
• Beauty or cosmetics
• High-end retail
• Consultative sales
• Customer service
• At least 1 year of sales experience is required.

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ year of sales experience required
• Previous optician or optical experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong sense of style and attention to detail
• Comfortable recommending products and upgrades
• Excellent customer-service skills
• Friendly, confident, and professional communication
• Ability to learn optical products and terminology
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working with computers and patient records
• Ability to multitask while giving patients personalized attention
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Driver's license preferred
• Willingness to occasionally assist at another VIEW location when needed

Compensation & Performance Bonus:

• $17.00–$20.00 per hour
• Eligible employees can earn up to $5,000 in performance bonuses annually, paid monthly when established KPIs are met or exceeded.

Paid Time Off:

• First year: PTO prorated based on start date and calendar year
• After 2 years: 15 PTO days
• After 10 years: 20 PTO days
• Holidays: 6 Paid Holidays

  • The office is also closed on Black Friday and Christmas Eve.
