Our Overnight Route Drivers are an important part of what makes that possible. At TDP Bakery, we bring positive energy to every route, support one another as a team, and take pride in knowing that there's a doughnut in someone's hand at 6 a.m. and a smile that comes with it. We celebrate big and small wins, help our teammates succeed, and understand that every delivery matters to the customer.
We are hiring Overnight Route Drivers to deliver fresh-baked products from our Baton Rouge distribution center. We provide paid training, tech to navigate your route, and delivery vehicles. During onboarding, you'll receive three days of hands-on training alongside experienced drivers. You'll also complete Smith System training, driving assessments, and equipment training to get you are set up for success. Currently, we are offering a $500 Sign-On Bonus ($100 after 30 days. $400 after 90 days).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections using handheld devices
- Load and organize products for delivery routes
- Safely operate a 10-foot box truck while following all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Use handheld devices and navigation tools for route management
- Deliver products accurately to stores, verify invoices, rotate stock, remove expired products, and restock according to planograms
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and store personnel
- Unload returns and clean vehicle/equipment after routes
Required Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 3 years of consistent driving history with a valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a copy of past three-year driving record (MVR) prior to interview. Can be obtained online: https://payments.ncdot.gov/
- Availability to work overnight shifts between 6 PM–6 AM, including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly
- Comfortable driving a 10-foot box truck in various traffic conditions
- Clean pre-employment drug screen required, including marijuana
- Strong safety awareness, professionalism, and coachability
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual earnings:$32,144–$57,798+ ($123.63-$222.30 daily, depending on route - paid out bi-weekly)
