Director Emergency Services

A Director of Emergency Services is sought for a 420+ bed acute care hospital in Kingwood, TX a Level II Trauma center that also holds designations as a DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Certified Level I Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and a Level III NICU. The emergency department operates 40 care spaces and sees approximately 175–200 patients per day.

The role. Reporting to the VP of Emergency Services, the Director oversees all operations of the adult emergency department, leading a team of 80–85 FTEs. The Director drives clinical quality by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety, managing variation in clinical practice, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. A strong focus is placed on efficient patient throughput including volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning alongside the development of policies and nursing standards that ensure patient and family needs are consistently assessed and met. The Director also plays a key role in budget management, including labor productivity, staffing control, operating expense oversight, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities, while collaborating with administrative leadership and physicians to sustain and grow service offerings.

What we're looking for.

• 3+ years of recent (within the last year) acute care Director of ED experience; experience must be from a large facility
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Master's degree preferred

Schedule. Days, Monday through Friday, no weekends.

Compensation. $160,000 - $180,000 per year plus Incentive Bonus: +17.5% - 26.25%; Sign On: No sign on; Relocation assistance: Case by case
