Job Title: Operator I

Location: Irving, TX (75038)
Employment Type: W2 Contract | 12 months with possible extensions!
Pay Rate: $15.50 - $16.99/hr
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

* Training Schedule: Monday, 8:45 AM–3:30 PM; Tuesday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; followed by 6:00 AM–2:30 PM for the next 8 days. *

Role Overview:

The OperatorI will support manufacturing operations by assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, performing product testing and calibration, and ensuring finished products meet established quality and regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a quality-focused mindset who can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. The Operator will use a variety of tools and equipment while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Product Development teams to meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble instruments, products, and components according to established procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, measuring equipment, and limited automated equipment to complete assembly operations.
• Perform product testing, calibration, and verification to ensure accuracy, functionality, and reliability.
• Inspect components, assemblies, and finished products for quality and compliance with applicable FDA and ISO requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Identify and troubleshoot production or assembly issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Product Development teams to resolve production-related issues.
• Accurately document production activities, including material control and non-conformance information.
• Follow established SOPs, cGMPs, Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Consistently work toward daily production and build goals while maintaining established quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
• Assist with training other assemblers after demonstrating proficiency in assigned operations, as needed.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, specifications, and work procedures.
• Experience or demonstrated ability using hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and measuring equipment.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer literacy and mathematical comprehension.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more as required.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a production team.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous assembly, production, manufacturing, or operator experience.
• Experience working in an FDA- or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with GMP/cGMP requirements and quality systems.
• Previous experience with product testing, calibration, inspection, or troubleshooting.
