Join a stable, 50+ year Oklahoma City manufacturer serving the aerospace, space, casino gaming, energy, and mining industries. Bauman Machine is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector who takes pride in accuracy, documentation, and delivering conforming precision-machined parts.
SUMMARY OF JOB ROLE
You will perform in-process, first article, and final inspections; verify job documentation; maintain inspection records; and help control nonconforming product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify parts meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Complete in-process, first article, and final inspections accurately and on schedule.
• Use and care for precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, gages, dial indicators, and related hand tools.
• Maintain calibration status and records for inspection and measuring equipment.
• Use of Hexagon CMM to verify part(s)
• Use of Hexagon PC-DMIS Software
• Review routers, drawings, inspection results, and supporting job documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify and control discrepancies; prepare nonconformance reports and deviation documentation as needed.
• Maintain organized, traceable quality records and assist with other quality-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Two or more years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments, gages, and inspection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, tolerances, and specifications.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with moderate supervision.
• CMM experience is a plus.
• Hexagon PC-DMIS Software experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift at least 50 lb.; stand for extended periods (up to 8-9 hours per day); and wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear.
