FAA-Certificated A&P Mechanic

$28–$40 per hour, depending on experience

FlyBright Pilot Academy is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to help keep our high-utilization piston training fleet safe, airworthy, and available for flight operations.
We are specifically looking for a dependable mechanic who can take ownership of assigned aircraft and routine maintenance projects, perform thorough inspections and repairs, work independently with limited supervision, and recognize when a discrepancy requires additional technical support or coordination with the Director of Maintenance.
This hands-on position reports to the Director of Maintenance. Our fleet includes Piper PA-28 and PA-44 aircraft, as well as aircraft powered by the Rotax 912 ULS. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced flight-training environment where safety, accuracy, documentation, efficiency, and aircraft availability all matter. Single-engine aircraft are year 2025 or newer, and multi-engine aircraft are year 2018 or newer.

Mechanics are expected to wear professional, properly fitted work attire appropriate for safely working around aircraft, tools, and equipment.
Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing, and working in and around aircraft and hangar equipment.
Schedule & Compensation
We are open to full-time, part-time, or flexible scheduling arrangements for the right candidate.
Compensation ranges from $28 to $40 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, piston-aircraft knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
Paid time off and additional benefits may be available depending on employment status and eligibility.
