We’re seeking a licensed mental health professional to serve as ACT Team Lead for our Assertive Community Treatment program in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

About the ACT Program
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program of Resources for Human Development (RHD) provides multidisciplinary, community-based behavioral health services designed to support individuals with complex mental health needs.
ACT services are delivered where individuals need them, including in community settings, with team members working collaboratively to promote recovery, stability, independence, and successful community living.
As the ACT Team Lead, you’ll provide clinical and operational leadership while helping ensure the team has the structure, guidance, and support necessary to deliver high-quality services.

What You’ll Do
As the ACT Team Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of the ACT team while providing leadership and support to staff. You’ll also remain involved in direct clinical and community-based services.
Your Responsibilities May Include:
Clinical Leadership & Client Care
- Conduct initial assessments and assist with developing individualized treatment plans.
- Evaluate individuals on an ongoing basis and adjust treatment approaches based on changing needs.
- Maintain an individual caseload and provide direct clinical services as appropriate.
- Participate in planning and coordinating client care activities.
- Work directly with clients in community-based settings.
- Help ensure treatment is person-centered and responsive to individual goals and needs.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and guidance to ACT team members.
- Coach, counsel, and support staff in their professional development.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating employees.
- Organize and distribute staff workloads based on program and client needs.
- Support employee performance and accountability.
- Help create a collaborative, supportive, and effective team environment.
Program Operations & Compliance
- Oversee the daily operations of the ACT team.
- Help ensure staff follow required policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor clinical documentation and medical record requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective staff scheduling systems.
- Support efficient program operations and service delivery.
- Ensure appropriate crisis intervention coverage is maintained.
- Demonstrate a commitment to RHD values and professional standards in all aspects of program leadership.
Program & Fiscal Oversight
- Help maintain appropriate program census levels.
- Monitor and manage program expenses.
- Support responsible use of program funds and resources.
- Balance clinical priorities with the operational needs of the program.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to support the overall effectiveness and sustainability of the ACT program.

A licensed mental health professional

Experienced in community-based behavioral health services
Confident providing coaching, feedback, and guidance to employees

Passionate about recovery-oriented, person-centered care
QualificationsRequired- Licensed mental health professional-Applicable credentials may include LMSW, LCSW, MFT
- Graduate-level education in a behavioral health, social work, counseling, or related mental health field
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct care experience with adults in: Mental Health, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, Juvenile Justice, Health Care, Vocational Rehabilitation or similar programs
- At least two (2) years of community-based treatment experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Driving record in good standing
- Ability to provide services in community-based settings
- Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-Time
- $70,000 Annual Salary

- Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program
- Position includes both community-based clinical work and staff management
- Schedule flexibility may be required to meet client, staffing, and program needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel throughout the community as required to provide services and oversee program operations.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with the position.
- Ability to drive a vehicle as required.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
