Forklift Operator/Delivery Driver

About the Role:

The Forklift Operator/Delivery Driver plays a critical role in the manufacturing supply chain by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility and timely delivery of finished products to customers. This position requires operating forklifts to load, unload, and organize inventory while adhering to safety protocols and company standards. Additionally, the role involves driving delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting production schedules by managing logistics both inside and outside the facility. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent training.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to material handling and vehicle operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating larger delivery vehicles.
• Experience with route planning and GPS navigation systems.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial delivery role.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor forklift and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, components, and finished goods safely within the warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure delivery trucks are in safe operating condition.
• Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, delivery logs, and any incidents or discrepancies encountered during operations.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, production teams, and logistics coordinators to optimize workflow and resolve any issues related to inventory or deliveries.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
