Sr. M365 Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer with 5 to 10 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and engineering experience, including significant expertise in Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, and Exchange Online. The primary focus of this role is supporting and enhancing the organization's compliance, legal hold, information governance, and investigative capabilities within Microsoft Purview.The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of eDiscovery processes, data retention, content search, legal hold management, and compliance operations across Microsoft 365 workloads. Experience with additional Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID is highly desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft Purview and eDiscovery (Primary Focus)Administer and support Microsoft Purview compliance solutions.Manage eDiscovery (Standard and Premium) activities, including: oContent SearchesoLegal HoldsoCustodian ManagementoReview SetsoData ExportsoCase ManagementSupport internal investigations, litigation requests, regulatory inquiries, and audit activities.Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Security, Privacy, and Records Management teams.Perform advanced searches and data collection activities across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.Exchange OnlineAdminister and support Exchange Online environments.Manage mail flow, mailboxes, permissions, transport rules, retention policies, and compliance configurations.Troubleshoot messaging issues and support security and compliance requirements.Assist with email discovery, preservation, and retention activities.Microsoft 365 Platform SupportSupport and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services across the enterprise.Support integrations, migrations, and optimization initiatives involving Microsoft 365 technologies.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
