A day in this role
You’ll kick off by reviewing work orders and blueprints, planning your setup for a small-batch job, and bringing a Mazak boring mill online. With your G-code fluency, you’ll call up, adjust, and run programs, dial in the first piece, and confirm conformance to drawings and specs. Throughout the run, you’ll watch machine performance, verify dimensions, and make thoughtful edits to keep quality high. You’ll also handle routine maintenance, keep your area orderly, and balance production targets with uncompromising safety and quality.
What you’ll handle
- Set up and operate Mazak boring mill equipment for short-run/low-volume work
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to plan tooling and fixtures
- Apply G-code expertise to troubleshoot, edit, and execute CNC programs
- Monitor cycle performance and verify product quality throughout production
- Perform routine machine maintenance; maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Meet output goals while maintaining strict safety and quality standards
What you bring
- Previous boring mill machining experience
- Strong, hands-on command of G-code programming
- Mazak operating experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality

- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications
