Trailer Mechanic

We are seeking a Trailer Mechanic to service flatbeds and a mixed fleet while supporting safe, reliable trailer operations. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role performs inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs during regular hours, with a potential career path toward Lead Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Inspect flatbeds and mixed-fleet trailers to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to support safe and dependable operation.
• Repair and service trailer brake and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and repair trailer electrical systems.
• Perform tire service and parts replacement.
• Complete welding repairs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of trailer systems, brake systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Understanding of safety compliance practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
