Job Title: QC Lead Scientist
Contract: 12 months, temp-to-perm potential
Pay Rate: $40/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: 811 Paloma Drive, Suite A, Round Rock, TX 78665
Work Arrangement: 100% On-site
Job Summary:
The QC Lead Scientist will perform analytical testing of finished products, raw materials, custom analytical projects, and in-process samples. The role will support method development, validation, troubleshooting, process improvement, and OOS investigations while ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing according to SOPs and established methods.
- Develop and execute OOS investigation strategies and reports.
- Support method development, validation, and technical studies.
- Perform instrument qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze and interpret analytical results.
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
- Support laboratory audit readiness and quality systems.
- Lead or participate in process and procedure improvements.
- Train on and perform multiple analytical techniques.
- Follow applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, or a related life science field.
- BS/MS: 4+ years of relevant experience; PhD candidates with no prior experience may be considered.
- Experience with analytical methods and interpretation of results.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034 preferred.
- Experience in GLP, GMP, ISO, pharmaceutical, medical device, or clinical environments preferred.
- Strong technical writing, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience with OOS investigations, method validation, and analytical instrumentation preferred.
Work Environment:
This position involves working with hazardous chemicals and requires appropriate PPE, including gloves, lab coats, safety glasses, respirators, and face shields as required.
