Description:
The Technology Designer contributes to the development of high-quality design solutions for external client projects involving audiovisual, IT infrastructure, communications, and security systems.
The position is well-suited for early-career candidates, new graduates, or low-voltage installers looking to gain experience in designing a variety of technology systems.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSBILITIES
- Facilitate the design and documentation of technology systems from concept through construction, while developing the skills to independently lead projects and deliverables.
- Proactively coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and internal team members throughout the design phases and construction phases.
- Oversee construction activities and field coordination.
- Communicate design intent clearly and professionally to clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Manage workload proactively while maintaining accountability and ownership of quality, accuracy, and project schedules.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and progressively develop the ability to independently resolve technical design and construction challenges.
DESIGN DISCIPLINES
- In this role you will develop a variety of technology system design skills to produce construction drawings and specifications for the following systems:
- Audio-Visual Systems: Public address, sound masking, video conferencing, and event spaces.
- IT Infrastructure: Telecom room buildouts, backbone fiber and copper cabling, and horizontal cabling for data and voice.
- Communication Systems: Nurse call, distributed clock, and distributed antenna systems.
- Security Systems: Access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the US. No visa sponsorship available.
- 1+ years of technology system installation, drafting, or design experience; or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking ownership of assigned tasks and project outcomes.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Exposure to audio-visual, IT structured cabling, communications, or security systems.
- Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as PE, RCDD, NICET, CTS, or CTS-D
