Multi-Axis CNC Programmer/Operator

Where: Mocksville, NC (Onsite) 338 Valley Rd. Mocksville, NC 27028

When: 3rd Shift, MondayFriday, 11:00 PM7:00 AM (Full-time direct hire)

Own the precision machining of components that must fit flawlessly at final assembly. This role performs high-output, safety-first CNC work to strict quality standards, with assignments that may shift based on business demand.

• Translate blueprints, sketches, and job sheets into precise dimensions, tolerances, and setup plans.
• Set up mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers, drill presses, and drill machines; select/install tooling, attachments, and materials.
• Program and edit CNC controls; retrieve/input control data; verify via dry runs and first-article checks.
• Operate and monitor machining cycles; identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions; adjust machine controls or media.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, height/bore/depth/feeler gages; document results.
• Rework nonconforming parts to specification.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production staff to resolve machining issues.
• Comply with ISO procedures and safety rules; wear PPE; complete hoist inspections.
• Route completed parts per sequence; record part locations/status; maintain work orders, daily production sheets, status sheets, and quality records.
• Communicate with peers and Team Leads to sustain throughput and solve problems.
• Meet print requirements down to 0.0002 in; uphold 5S housekeeping standards.
• Support continuous improvement for cell layout and process efficiency; attend monthly department and quarterly town hall meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience

• Read/interpret safety rules, O&M instructions, blueprints, memos, and procedure manuals.
• Communicate effectively 1:1 and in small groups with supervisors, customers/clients, and peers.
• Perform basic calculations from 0.0001 to 0.1; convert between metric and US units.
• Follow detailed written/oral instructions; address problems with several variables using standard methods (e.g., 5 Whys).
• Stand/walk up to 8 hours; lift 35 lbs solo and 70 lbs with assistance repeatedly; push/pull 35 lbs; meet 20/35 vision (corrected or uncorrected as specified).

• Associate degree or machining certification
• Proficiency with depth, bore, and height gages; feeler gages; micrometers; calipers; deburring tools; die grinders; drill presses; overhead lifting equipment
