Retail Manager

As a Store Manager, you lead the daily operations of a retail environment, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll oversee staff, manage inventory, and drive sales to meet targets. Your role involves fostering a positive shopping experience for customers and maintaining a well-organized store. You thrive on interacting with both team members and customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.Compensation:

$20 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Manage all personnel issues within the cafe team.

• Schedule shifts and cover shifts where necessary.

• Strategically adjust the cost of labor by cutting or adding shifts and avoiding overtime.

• Bring all cafe issues to the surface and solve them in order of priority, with the support of the Mpanadas executive team where necessary.

• Be intolerant of problems and problematic teammates.

• Foster a culture of positivity, excellence, and transparency amongst the cafe.

• Be excellent at fulfilling orders and customer service.

• Be responsible for and conduct all ordinary cafe operations.

• Work fast, smart, and efficiently this is a high-paced environment where speed and accuracy matter.

• Memorize recipes and procedures to ensure consistency across every empanada and drink.

• Follow instructions carefully and adapt quickly to feedback and new systems.

• Prepare and serve empanadas, sauces, and beverages to Mpanadas’ quality standards (no cooking required).

• Work diligently for hours at a time with minimal breaks.

• Assist with catering orders from prepping to packaging.

• Engage with customers with warmth and energy.

• Keep work areas spotless and organized, following all food safety and ServSafe protocols.

• Delegate teammates to handle rushes and maintain positive flow during peak hours.

• Acquire 5-star reviews on various platforms and encourage guests to follow our social media

• Take orders and handle cash and card payments.

• Learn to pour latte art and prepare espresso beverages.

• Support pop-up events and perform miscellaneous tasks to support Mpanadas. These are rare but necessary responsibilities.

• Set up cafe decorations and promotional materials.

• Develop yourself constantly to prepare for advancement toward higher-level opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Retail management experience spanning over five years
• Proven ability to lead and build effective teams
• Business Administration degree or related field qualification
• Expertise in coordinating inventory and merchandising activities
• Understanding of POS systems and retail software

• English fluency

• Spanish fluency (not required)

• ServSafe certification

• Management experience

• Barista experience

• Customer service experience

• Driver’s license
