Summary:

TheInfant/ToddlerLeaderisresponsiblefortheoverallcare andeducationofchildrenagesbirthtotwoyears.

ResponsibilitiesandDuties:

  • Develop weekly lesson plans that outline activities which foster individual social, physical, and intellectual growth and development. These should align with The Creative Curriculum.
  • Ensurethesafetyandwell-beingofeachchildby respondingtotheiremotional,social,educationaland physical needs.
  • Assist children with activities ofdaily life, including eating, diapering/restroomuse, handwashing,etc.
  • Activelyengagechildreninactivitiesthatencouragelearningandpromotedevelopment.
  • Cleanclassroomequipment,includingtables,chairs,diaperingareaandothernecessaryareasaccording to required regulations.
  • Usedevelopmentallyappropriatelanguageand respondtochildreninapositivetone.
  • Createpositiverelationships withchildren,families andco-workers.
  • Continually monitoranddocument thedevelopmentofeachindividualchild.
  • Learn,understand,andfollowtherelevantstandardsandregulations.
  • Maintainregularcommunicationwithparentsregardingtheirchild’sdevelopment,behavior,and educational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • AdheretoallCDCpoliciesandproceduresassetforthinthepolicymanual.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum ofaHighSchoolDiplomaorequivalent
  • Minimum 2500 childcare hours; infant/toddler experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonalskills
  • Ability to work both independently andcollaboratively
  • Mustpossessexcellentorganizationalandtimemanagementskills
  • Must haveapatient,caring,andkind demeanor
  • Properattendanceisrequired.Employeesareexpectedtoarriveontime,everyday,ableand available to work.
  • May require travel to other centers within the county.

PhysicalRequirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the workday with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and grasping as necessary to carry out essential job duties.
  • Dexterityrequirementsrangefromcoordinatedmovementsoffingersandhandstosimplemovements of feet, legs, and torso as necessary to carry out essential job duties.
  • Lifting and carrying of children and/or objects up to 50 pounds
