Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to medically complex patients in a Long-Term Acute Care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS Certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Previous LTAC or comparable acute-care experience preferred.
- Ability to work 3 12-hour shifts per week.
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation skills.
- Ability to care for medically complex and long-term acute-care patients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in an LTAC setting.
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies.
- Monitor vital signs and other clinical parameters.
- Provide care to patients with complex and long-term medical needs.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and facility policies.
- Ensure continuity of care during shift changes.
- Perform other RN duties as assigned.
