Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BGA Rework Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Livermore, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled electronics repair professional who takes pride in precise, clean, high-quality board-level work.

This is not a production line position. You will be the go-to BGA expert on the team, taking ownership of the BGA rework station, maintaining equipment readiness, supporting high-reliability electronics repair, and helping train other technicians. You will work in an established electronics manufacturing environment with steady, meaningful work, strong quality standards, and a collaborative technical team that values craftsmanship, accuracy, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform board-level repair on electronic assemblies, including SMT and through-hole component removal and replacement under a microscope.
- Complete BGA removal, site preparation, reballing, replacement, and inspection using approved processes and thermal profiles.
- Repair pads, traces, connectors, sockets, and jumper wires while maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Maintain, calibrate, and prepare BGA rework equipment to ensure consistent performance and readiness.
- Inspect, clean, document, and prepare repaired boards for retest with clear records of findings, parts replaced, and results.
- Train other technicians on BGA rework methods and assist with cables, harnesses, and fixtures as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: Livermore, CA.
- Onsite: 4 days a week (M-Th-10 hours)
