This summer 2027 internship position will be projected-based and provide the chosen intern will exposure to various areas of the department, and credit union, to gain a general understanding of the different functions and how each interrelate to one another. If the intern has interest in a particular area (sales, analytical etc.), we will work to provide more time in that job function.This is a 12-week (typically) paid summer program, with opportunity to return to work over school breaks.
Potential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes assigned project(s) to further the mission and create efficiencies specific to the ag lending department.
- Accompanies Loan Officers on farm visits and then documents the file with information learned on the visit.
- Works with Credit Analysts to gain knowledge on how tax returns and financial statements are reviewed and learns about the annual review and risk rating process.
- Shadows Loan Processors to learn the basics of loan documentation and loan processing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Some agricultural experience a plus
Current college student pursuing a degree in a related field
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel)
Self-motivated
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Must be extremely detail oriented
Excellent communication skills
Significant level of trust and diplomacy
Standard position hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
