Fleet Driver

Job purpose

The Sapphire Fleet Maintenance Coordinator position will work closely with internal departments and external clients to maintain and coordinate the maintenance and reporting for fleet service lines. This position will include conducting maintenance reports and analysis along with coordinating with safety & compliance to ensure all equipment is operating and maintained in accordance with safety & compliance.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work with established maintenance sites to assist with any prevention or repair needs.
• Assist with pre- and post-mobilization inspections to ensure equipment readiness and identify issues
• Move, Stage and organize equipment within the yard to support maintenance and operations
• Identify, document and communicate equipment damage or maintenance needs.
• Support management and dispatchers to coordinate any equipment maintenance necessary.
• Work with drivers to facilitate a solution to any breakdowns or equipment incidents.
• The authority to ground unsafe LNG & CNG equipment and vehicles.
• Oversee all DOT-regulated transportation assets as well as pressurized and cryogenic vessels.
• Develop and maintain all fleet maintenance reporting, including gap analysis.
• Stay informed, updated, and proactive in managing the total aspects of fleet-leased vehicles.
• Create new SOPs and/or PM work orders in Upkeep, which include creating service types, task instructions, model work orders and 90-day Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Work extensively with equipment maintenance software for setup, management and reporting of all equipment maintenance activities.
• Document all work order creations or changes by maintaining Upkeep for PM work orders and task instructions. Periodic operations reviews.
• Meet with management to review severity and prioritize notification orders and make updates as needed. Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods.
• Ensure all property, grounds, and facilities are clean and well-organized.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

· Requires a high school education or GED.

· CDL A; HAZMAT & Tanker Required

· 3+ years fleet maintenance experience. CNG & LNG mechanical knowledge preferred.

· Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) Certification preferred.

· Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.); Upkeep software preferred.

· Report and budget writing and/or creating experience.

· Proficiency in contract negotiation & upholding current contracts.

· Ability to work across multiple departments (in office & in field) professionally.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Capacity to learn and adapt, good decision-making and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to travel (25%).

Work Conditions

Work conditions include, but are not limited to:

· Work with routine exposure to all weather conditions

· Work regular hours, overtime, and rotating shifts.

· Able to certify and use personal protective equipment, such as respirator, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, protective footwear, and earplugs daily.

· Able to handle emergencies, including possible exposure to gaseous atmospheres on occasion.

· Able to respond to callouts and occasionally return to work while off duty.

· Able to be included in the random drug screen pool required for DOT safety-sensitive positions and other regulatory or customer requirements.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements include, but are not limited to:

· Having the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and crawl in various terrain and conditions, sometimes for extended periods.

· Able to exert routine physical effort regularly.

· Able to safely use a variety of hand and/or power tools.

• Able to safely operate a motor vehicle and the ability to enter and exit a vehicle unassisted.
