Summary
The Field Operations Coordinator supports the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of electrical power system projects and field operations. This position coordinates field personnel, project schedules, safety compliance, equipment, and resources to support operational efficiency and minimize unplanned downtime. The role combines project coordination, safety tracking, technician onboarding, and administrative support while working closely with field technicians, project managers, and operations leadership to ensure successful project execution and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in field operations, project coordination, industrial construction, electrical services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting electrical power systems, substations, industrial maintenance, or power generation operations preferred.
- Familiarity with field personnel scheduling, project documentation, and safety compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management software.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel to customer locations and project sites as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of field operations, project coordination, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- General understanding of electrical power systems, industrial maintenance, and equipment reliability practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, electrical safety practices, and customer-specific safety requirements.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills with field personnel, management, customers, and subcontractors.

- Proficiency in preparing reports, maintaining spreadsheets, and utilizing project management and workforce tracking systems.
- Ability to identify operational challenges, escalate concerns, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with operations leadership and project teams.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate daily field operations, including technician scheduling, personnel assignments, equipment availability, and project resource requirements.
- Assist project managers and operations leadership with project planning, scheduling, execution, and progress tracking.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and technicians to ensure projects are properly staffed and operational requirements are met.
- Monitor project schedules, labor utilization, and resource availability to identify potential delays and support timely project completion.
- Assist with technician onboarding by coordinating with Human Resources, Safety, and Operations to ensure completion of required pre-employment activities, safety orientations, training, and customer-specific site requirements.
- Track employee certifications, safety training, site access credentials, and other compliance requirements to ensure field personnel remain qualified for assigned work.
- Coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, and required safety documentation in collaboration with the HSE department.
- Monitor safety compliance and communicate incidents, hazards, and corrective action requirements to appropriate management personnel.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining project documentation, including work orders, schedules, progress reports, labor records, and customer-required documentation.
- Coordinate the availability and delivery of tools, testing equipment, materials, and other resources necessary to support field operations.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, field supervisors, technicians, and customers regarding project status, scheduling changes, and operational needs.
- Support the tracking of project costs, labor hours, overtime, and equipment utilization to assist with budget management and operational efficiency.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, staffing shortages, and operational challenges and escalate concerns to management.
- Assist with project closeout activities, including collection of field documentation, completion reports, and required customer deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on field productivity, safety performance, equipment reliability, and overall project execution
Physical Demands
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach while performing administrative and field coordination activities.
- Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain, gravel, concrete, and other industrial surfaces.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as required to access project work areas.
- Ability to work at various elevations and around active industrial and electrical operations.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment while visiting customer facilities and active job sites.
- Ability to visually inspect work areas, equipment, project documentation, and safety conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in environments with moderate to elevated noise levels.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

Work Environment
- Work is performed in a combination of office settings, electrical substations, power generation facilities, industrial plants, petrochemical facilities, and customer job sites.
- Regular interaction with field technicians, project managers, operations leadership, customers, and safety personnel.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, and industrial hazards during field visits.
- Work may be performed near energized electrical equipment and active industrial operations while following established safety procedures.
- Position may require travel between project locations, extended work hours, weekends, and occasional overnight assignments to support operational requirements.
- Must comply with all company and customer safety policies, site access requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
