Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
A client of Insight Global is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to support excavation and construction operations. This role is responsible for safely transporting materials such as gravel and aggregate to and from job sites. The ideal candidate is experienced operating various truck types and is comfortable working in active construction environments.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
Transport gravel, aggregate, and other materials between work zones and designated locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation
Load and unload heavy equipment and materials as needed
Operate various truck types, including:
- Single axle trucks
- Double axle trucks
- Low-boy trailers
- Dump trucks

Schedule
Monday – Friday
Typically 50–55 hours per week
Start time: around 6:00 AM at the shop
On-site at job locations by 7:00 AM

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Requirements
Valid CDL Class A license
Clean driving record
3–5+ years of professional driving experience
Experience working in construction or excavation environments preferred
Ability to haul aggregate and work in rugged job site conditions
Ability to load/unload heavy equipment
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
