Work Environment:
Food Manufacturing / Meat Processing Facility
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 10–12 hour shifts; some Saturdays depending on production
Overtime Available
Job Summary
Responsible for using hand tools and knives to cut and process meat products that will later be packaged.
Responsibilities
- Cut and trim processed meats using knives and hand tools
- Pack and stack product
- Build boxes and packing materials
- Strap and prepare finished product
- Perform repetitive lifting, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous knife/meat cutting experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in acold, damp processing environment
- Comfortable working10–12 hour shiftsand some Saturdays as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Reliable attendance is required. Missing any day during the first week may result in termination/non-return
- Must be able to reliably commute to the facility; candidates within approximately30 minutes are preferred
- Previous experience in a cold storage, meat processing, or food manufacturing facility is preferred but not required
