Sous Chef

About the Role:
As a Sous Chef at Farmer's Table, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen. You will oversee food preparation, manage inventory, and assist in menu planning and implementation. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure will ensure the success of our menu offerings.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
• Manage and maintain kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard, using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
• Assist with daily specials and menu changes as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience in a high-volume kitchen
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of food preparation methods and presentation techniques
• Familiarity with inventory management and ordering systems
