Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols and handling procedures
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain floor care standards
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks with safe lifting practices for moving supplies or equipment as needed
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and waste disposal in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing fixtures when necessary
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning practices
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and understand chemical handling safety procedures
- Skilled in operating cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, facilities maintenance, and general custodial responsibilities
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
