Shape the Flow of Qualityfrom the Shop Floor to the System
As the Nonconforming Materials & ERP Traceability Coordinator, you connect plant inspection activities with corporate teams to keep product moving and records precise. You will own the lifecycle of the Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) Systemensuring each record is opened correctly, advanced promptly, and closed with solid disposition decisions, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions. By aligning NCMR data with our ERP (including LN), you’ll protect inventory accuracy, maintain material traceability, and keep physical movement synchronized with system transactionssupporting smooth production flow, on-time delivery, and conformance to quality requirements.
A day in this role
Your morning might begin by reviewing new NCMRs from Inspectors on the line, verifying details, and coordinating quarantines in the ERP. Midday, you’re partnering with Quality Leadership to confirm the effectiveness of recent corrective actions, then working with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Production to finalize dispositions and plan rework or returns. In the afternoon, you’ll orchestrate the movement of nonconforming materials across production, warehouses (including the Cycle Counting Team), and receiving areasensuring physical transfers match approved dispositions and that every transaction is mirrored in the ERP. Throughout, you’re communicating with Supply Chain and Quality teams, preparing the operation for audits, and teeing up maintenance tickets for quality support when needed.
Core outcomes you’ll deliver
- Administer the NCMR System: create, validate, progress, and close NCMR records with timeliness and accuracy.
- Coordinate and track dispositions, root cause analysis, and corrective & preventive actions with Quality Management, Project Managers, Purchasing, and Production.
- Partner with Quality Leadership on effectivity checks to verify implementation and long-term sustainability of corrective actions.
- Ensure tight alignment between NCMR records and ERP transactions, safeguarding inventory status, traceability, and data-to-physical synchronization.
- Manage and control quarantine inventory in the ERP; monitor levels and expedite dispositions to minimize production impact and support on-time delivery (OTD).
- Direct the physical movement of nonconforming and quarantine materials across production lines, warehouses (Cycle Counting Team), and receiving per approved dispositions and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between Inspectors and cross-functional corporate functions for clear communication, timely resolution, and process consistency.
- Champion adherence to quality standards, procedures, and best practices across plant operations.
- Create electronic service (Maintenance) tickets for quality support needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience maintaining logs, reports, and metrics is preferred.
- 1–3 years in a quality role within manufacturing or a point-of-purchase (POP) environment encouraged; familiarity with nonconforming management, LN (ERP System), or quality documentation processes preferred.
- Ability to read engineering prints; knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven collaborator across cross-functional teams.
- Analytical, methodical problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in metal fabrication and/or injection molding environments strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
