Step Into a Day on the Floor

Sun up, safety check, and into the hum of a high-volume aluminum manufacturing facility. Your morning might start at an extrusion press that needs a quick diagnosis. With prints in hand and multimeter at your side, you trace an electrical fault, swap a failed component, and bring the line back to life. Before lunch, you’re deep into a hydraulic issueinspecting a cylinder, testing a valve, and verifying pressuresto keep throughput on target. The afternoon could be a planned changeover, a gearbox inspection on a conveyor, or a predictive check on bearings and pumps. Between calls, you document PMs, tidy your work area, and keep an eye on the next potential downtime risk.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment across production areas
  • Own preventative and predictive maintenance to keep lines stable and efficient
  • Maintain and repair aluminum extrusion presses and their supporting systems
  • Diagnose issues with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and other rotating assets
  • Evaluate hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, including cylinders, valves, and related components
  • Use a multimeter and electrical schematics to track down and resolve electrical faults
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to plan work
  • Execute changeovers, adjustments, installations, and corrective repairs
  • Complete PMs and record maintenance activities accurately and promptly
  • Respond rapidly to unplanned downtime to minimize production interruption
  • Follow plant safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
What You Bring
  • Hands-on industrial maintenance experience, ideally within manufacturing
  • Proficiency with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities
  • Experience servicing motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and pumps
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using a multimeter
  • Skill in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Background in aluminum extrusion or metal manufacturing is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance methods
  • Self-directed approach with the ability to respond effectively to breakdowns
  • Reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset
