Position Summary
The Entry-Level Production Prep Associate supports the production team by preparing materials and products for the next stage of the manufacturing process. This is a hands-on, entry-level position designed for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
No previous manufacturing experience is required. Training will be provided on Seven Peaks products, equipment, safety procedures, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and products for welding or other production processes.
- Operate approved hand tools and basic shop equipment after receiving proper training and authorization.
- Inspect materials and products for visible defects and notify the supervisor of quality concerns.
- Maintain an organized work area and return tools and equipment to their designated locations.
- Remove scrap, debris, and other materials from production areas to maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Follow established production procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, injuries, or workplace hazards to a supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with production foreman to meet daily production goals.
- Participate in required safety meetings, training, and other company programs.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned based on business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, farm/ranch, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills, equipment, and production processes.
- Basic ability to safely use hand tools or willingness to be trained.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate workplace concerns, questions, and safety issues to supervisors.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position may require:
- Standing and walking for extended periods during the workday.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and handling of materials.
- Regular lifting and moving of materials and products.
- Repetitive use of hands and arms when performing production and material-preparation tasks.
- Working around manufacturing equipment, tools, forklifts, and moving materials.
- Wearing required PPE while performing assigned duties.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment.
- Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, metal particles, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
- Work will be physically demanding and require repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Required PPE must be worn in designated production areas.
- Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.
Safety Expectations
Safety is an essential responsibility of every Seven Peaks team member. Employees are expected to:
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and training.
- Wear required PPE correctly and consistently.
- Operate only equipment they have been trained and authorized to use.
- Keep work areas, walkways, and emergency access areas clear.
- Report injuries, near misses, equipment problems, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Never remove or bypass machine guards or other safety devices.
- Ask a supervisor for assistance when unsure how to safely perform a task.
Hours & Pay
- Monday through Thursday 5:30 am to 2:00 pm / Friday 5:30 am to 1:00 pm
- Depending on Experience: $17.00 - $20.00 with opportunity for Bonus
