Job Title: General Production WorkerJob Description

The Operator II, Manufacturing assists with all aspects of production and quality control testing of raw and process materials for the Transplant Diagnostics business.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for dispensing of biological reagents.
  • Prepare reagents and buffers.
  • Print labels and label bottles, vials, and boxes.
  • Package, seal, and scan assays.
  • Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed.
  • Responsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products, and in-house supplies.
  • Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity.
  • Update raw material inventories.
  • Assist in processing final product and prepare buffer solutions.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Develop, write, and institute necessary protocols.
  • Solve problems that may arise in the department.
  • Efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Assist supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes.
  • Maintain work schedules as assigned.
  • Notify supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective actions.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Two years of laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize self and maintain assigned work schedules.
  • Capability to read, understand, and implement written laboratory procedures.
  • Proficiency in handling and working with biological and chemical reagents.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Willingness to submit to a drug test and background check.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

Frequently work at laboratory workstations, low temperature freezers, and computer workstations. Some lifting of objects, including laboratory instrumentation, up to 35 pounds. The position does not offer relocation.

This is a Contract position based out of Meriden, CT 06450.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.05 - $22.05/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
